Recently, my old friend Sofiya stopped by with the intention of trashing her dress in the waterfalls near my house. I shot Sofiya's senior pictures last year and she is now in college.
We started by doing a few pics in the studio.
I really Love this one!
Sofiya's gorgeous eyes bathed in my ring light.
Then we headed outside and stopped at a few locations along the way before getting to the waterfalls.
First stop: The tub
Next stop: Corn field
Next stop: Train tracks
And here comes the epic fail. We get to the waterfall area and due to the several inches of rain the day before, the normally calm area was like a class 5 rapid. There would be no getting into these waters today.
So we walked around and made the best of the rest of the location away from the water.
The good news is that the dress is still intact and still can be trashed someday in the future. I really like working with Sofiya and I am guessing you will be seeing more of her again.
Oh, and if you noticed a few of these pictures had the same pose, we were borrowing ideas from Idina Menzel's pictures from her "I Stand" CD.
